I received an early Valentine’s Day flower from Simon yesterday or it was actually two. He bought me two beautiful orchids! I love orchids and have quite a few but three of them died in the aftermath of our holiday. I guess they didn’t like being neglected for four weeks.
Simon normally go down to Malmö on Monday mornings but he had to pick up some stock from a supplier here in Gothenburg yesterday which meant he was home when I came from work last night. We had my brother and Linda over for dinner cooking them Jamie Oliver’s yummy Piri Piri Chicken. We were suppose to have them over for Sunday dinner but we ended up being so full after a weekend at my mum’s, indulging in lots of delicious food, so we took a rain check. 🙂
I don’t know if it’s because it’s Valentine’s Day today or not but this morning I realized how precious it is to wake up next to the person you love. It’s funny how you come to appreciate small things like that, things that are very easy to take for granted, when you don’t have them every day.
PS. Simon will get his Valentine’s Day treat on Wednesday. I booked him in for an hour massage after work.love
