While browsing the internet on the subject I found some interesting information. Don’t ask me why I did the search in the first place, I mean I should know first hand what Swedes are like, shouldn’t I? I know it’s pretty long but it is pretty funny and has some good points so it can be worth ploughing through.

A Swede is tall, blond, blue-eyed, and wears a woolly hat in the winter. By nature he is shy, reserved, serious, industrious, and finds it hard to laugh at himself. He is also a creature of habit and every morning gets up at 5.30 to give himself enough time to read the morning newspaper before going to work. Since work does not usually start until 8 o’clock, this can only imply that a Swede is also a slow reader. Read more

We’re having a lazy Saturday morning here today and it feels great, just what I needed after this last week. Made an omelette breakfast and Simon just watched the Crows beat Gold Coast in their first footy match for the season.  I’m sitting here sipping on my coffee about to pay the bills so in other words no reason to complain so far.

The Australian Olympic outfits were revealed yesterday, a classic a green and gold uniform. It’s been developed by Adidas and apparently it’s the lightest and fastest team uniform ever worn by the Australian team. Well, some of them aren’t going to wear much at all, so no wonder it’s light.

Adidas will outfit close to 800 Australian athletes and officials during the London Olympics. Sallys’ tiny gold top and green shorts are only two out of the over 80,000 items of apparel and footwear Adidas have developed over the last 18 months.  And here I thought the Olympics was about the sports. Silly me.

He’s grown a lot since the photo above was taken 7 years ago after I just brought him home from the kennel but he’s still both very cute and cuddly. He’s also a very faithful friend that has stood by my side through good and bad over the years and will continue to do so, hopefully for many more years to come. So a big happy birthday to PoPo, I’ll treat you with goodies when I get back home from Denmark tonight.

Memories of Sweden has released a new colour on the plexi glass bracelets – Midsummer! I’ve been waiting to see what the new colour would be because I really want to buy a bracelet for myself and since pink is one of my absolute favourite colours I think the choice is pretty easy. Though I do love the other colours too.

As it turns out there is a beer festival going on right when we’re in Prague, the Český pivní festival. We had no idea about this when we booked our trip so we just got lucky.

I’ve started researching Prague a little bit for our trip and I thought I just share what I find with you in case you want to pay the city a visit at some stage. Prague is the capitol city of Czech Republic and just over 1.2 million people live there.

The city is divided into 10 districts; the historical centre is where most of the beautiful architecture, museums, restaurants are located. The outer districts are the new ones, where recent businesses, hotels and banks have been built.
