Indoor weather

2 Comments Sverige

The very windy and rainy weather today forced us to stay indoors all day. We spent most of the day at Anders & Linda’s house baking two different versions of saffron buns and gingerbread houses.

Cheating

I know it’s not Advent 1st until Sunday but I cleaned the apartment and put up my stars and candleholders this arvo so I had to turn them on to try them.

Watch out for Berit

1 Comment Weather Down Under and Up Above

Apparently we have a very windy weekend ahead of us when the storm Berit is on its way to Sweden. Sweden’s Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued a warning for the whole country. There will be very strong winds but also a risk of the storm turning into hurricane strength (at least up in the mountains int he orange area on the map above).

The eye of the storm is set to hit northern Sweden from the Atlantic on Saturday, but most of Sweden will see harsh winds over the weekend and will be likely to be hit by some rain or snow. Lovely, sounds like an indoor weekend to me.

So hold on to your hats this weekend!

To do in Oz #16

No Comments Australia

We’ve made plans to go camping along the Murray River with some friends of Simon’s when we’re in Melbourne. Something I both look forward to and fear. I look forward to it because I love the nature and I’m curious to see what this comfy camping I’ve heard so much about really is (it’s a traditional thing camping along the river so I’ve heard a couple of stories). I fear it beacuse in the nature there are spiders and snakes and everyone know that there are only venemous spiders and snakes in Australia (no prejudices here), so I probably end up getting bitten. (Just kidding mum, nothing to worry about) :P

Third time’s a charm

2 Comments Driving license (Sweden), Move to Sweden

Simon passed his written drivers test today. It was really the second time he wrote it since the first time, when they made him write the test in Swedish, doesn’t count. But there is no good saying like “Third time’s the charm” about the second time, at least not that I know of.  :)

Bra start på dagen

2 Comments Sverige
