Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure

No Comments Australia

The four episodes of Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure was aired last week in the US and in Australia. Me and Simon of course downloaded them and watched them straight away. She has done a really good job I must say and watching them made us miss Australia. The episodes are filled with great sceneries from Australia and portraits on how kind, open and welcoming Aussies are. Besides clips from all the different adventures she and her ultimate viewers experienced (read more about them HERE) the shows also contained the two live shows she recorded in Sydney outside the Opera House, each with an audience of 6000 people. I truly recommend for you to watch the episodes if you get a chance.

“Take it from me: You have not lived until you’ve waltzed your way through Australia.”

Oprah is known as being very generous and during the two shows she gave away beautiful one of a kind necklaces to each of the audience members. “I believe things are always better when you share them, so all 6,000 are going to get one of these. Something to remember the day!”

The audience of the first show was given a beautiful one of a kind South Sea pearl pendant with a silver O medallion created specially for the Oprah Show by Kailis Jewellery. Every Kailis pearl takes 2 years to grow and are only found off the coast of North Western Australia, where some of the largest white pearls on earth have been discovered. You can order the medallion with Oprah The Farewell Season engraving too off the Kailis Jewelry website for $450. I wish I had some extra cash hanging around…. 😛

On the second show each audience member was given a beautiful limited edition white gold and Pink Argyle Diamond “O” Necklace. This necklace you don’t seem to be able to buy but bébé (an Australian baby store) is auctioning one necklace off to help the flood victims in Queensland. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the necklace will be donated to the Premiers Flood Appeal. The winner will also know that by purchasing this item they have helped people in Queensland affected by this devastation. The Charity Auction is open to both Australian and International bidders. The auction ends tomorrow, January 25th, at 5pm (Australian EST). Go HERE to see the latest bid and maybe place one yourself.
